Dealing 200 damage per second, the Pain Saw is one of the most powerful weapons in the Human arsenal. It is almost useless as a main offensive weapon: its effective range is even less than that of the Dretch, and by the time the user gets close enough to deal damage, he will most likely have already been killed. However, the weapon's bottomless clip greatly reduces base reliance, allowing a painsawer to spend as much time in the field as his health allows. Additionally, the Pain Saw excels at the destruction of specific Alien buildings, such as the Overmind. Armed additionally with a Grenade, a human can initiate a Pain Saw Rush, which can potentially be extremely devastating to the Alien team. The Pain Saw also excels in confined spaces like vents, where the user can simply charge headlong into any enemies and kill them practically instantly.
