Loads the given map for play.
The map is the 3D arena in which you play. Some people erroneously refer to it as the "level", probably thinking of 3D solo games.
The map is stored in a .pk3 file which is just a zip file with the extension ".pk3" instead of ".zip". The PK3 file contains several folders, one of which is "maps". That folder contains the actual map that you play, and that file's extension is ".bsp". This is the real name of the map that you can use with the /map command. That folder also sometimes contains a ".map" file, for example in "map-tremor-1.1.0.pk3" which is part of the original Tremulous 1.1.0 client pack. The ".map" file is the document that the map maker used to create the ".bsp" file that you're playing. It's not necessary to deliver the ".map" file in the PK3, but it's nice for other Mappers.
Maps can be obtained by turning cl_allowDownload (see also sv_allowDownload) on, or they can be downloaded manually from various Web sources. See also the discussion article about a planned Official Map Repository.
Maps can be obtained at the Mercenaries' Guild Map Repository and also theoretically from downloads.tremulous.net, but the link is down.
