In Tremulous there are 2 fundamentally different teams. One of them is the humans. The humans are a upgrade based team working off the idea of credits being awarded for successful hits on aliens. You may use these credits to buy new weapons.
The humans (at least at the weaker stages) work their long range abilities and more damaging weapons.
Human buildings are generally stronger than alien buildings, but the humans themselves are generally weaker (especially compared to late stage aliens).
Humans use Credits (creds) to buy weapons and upgrades. They are also able to sell them and gain all their spent credits back. That gives humans an advantage to aliens, who can't get their evos back once they are spent. However, humans can only buy and sell at an Armoury and only if Reactor is up.
Humans also posses stamina. They use it up when they sprint or jump, and regain it when they walk or stand still. When a human is out of stamina, it can't jump or sprint anymore. The human soldiers are not exactly elite warriors: Their stamina is used up after three jumps.
All humans start with these 2 items:
Blaster - No matter the weapon humans chose to spawn, they will always also carry a blaster.
Medkit - All humans gain one of these when they spawn. The only way for a human to regain health away from base is by using a medkit. They can get a new one when they heal at the Medistation.
