Forward Base

A Forward Base is a base that has been extended farther than the default base on a Map. Forward bases are generally used to hold off opponents, let humans regenerate health and reload their weapons, and to load up on poison. In Tremulous forward bases tend to be ineffective as means weakening your primary bases defences.

A good alien forward base should include:

• A Booster (so aliens can quickly get poison)
• An Egg (so aliens can respawn to get in the battle as soon as possible) REQUIRED TO POWER THE OTHER STRUCTURES
• At least 2 Acid Tubes (to hold off, and possible kill humans who come too close)

A good human forward base should include:

• A Repeater REQUIRED TO POWER THE OTHER STRUCTURES
• A Medistation (to regenerate health)
• An Armoury (to let humans reload on ammo and get new weapons)
• At least 3 Machine Gun Turrets (to hold off aliens and to kill wandering dretches)
• Telenode (to respawn humans in to battle)

Good forward bases for Atcs are:

HUMANS In the hallway, once a good base is set up, slowly start moving the things forward, Repeater first, then Armoury, then Telenode, then Medistation, then the turrets.

ALIENS In the hallway also. Same idea... In the middle structure, upper level should have an Egg and a Booster, lower level should have a couple Eggs and some acid tubes, along with some boosters. Place the boosters right below the eggs so the dretches are poisoned immediately.
