The Advanced Granger becomes available at no cost when the alien team reaches stage two. In addition to the Granger’s abilities, the Advanced Granger can move faster, jump higher, walk on walls and attack with a slash or by lobbing small projectiles with the Activate Upgrade button. Granger Spit also has adhesive properties (Similar to Trapper) and any human hit by it will have there movement temporarily impared.
Advanced Granger Strategies
- All the basic Granger strategies can be used here, but with a few additions, most notably the ability to attack
- Even though the advanced granger can attack, it should be used only when it's absolutely unavoidable. Even a blaster can outrank a battlegranger in it's power
- The spit makes the granger capable of ranged offense, even thought the amount of damage is miserable compared to almost anything aliens can use, it can still slow down the humans long enough for a granger to make his escape, or for other aliens to hunt the human down
- A lone human building can be destroyed by granger spit when there is no other option, but it should be avoided since it takes a long time to do, and it can be easily repaired
- Most notable ability advanced grangers gain is the wallclimbing. It can help them build where they couldn't before, and also, avoid getting killed more effectively. Don't forget to use it
- Many new players seem to think that since the granger is free and has more health and attacks then a Dretch, it is also more capable in a fight. Thus they will often feed the enemy not knowing grangers are weak and far inferior to dretches in their killing capability. Let them know
Advanced Granger Killing Strategies
- All the strategies for killing a basic Granger can be used here, with a few additions
- Their spit can slow you down considerably, so either try not to get hit or make sure there are no other aliens around that can kill you while you are incapable of evasive movement
- Even with all the additions, the advanced granger is still quite easy to kill, no matter what weapon you are using or what armor you are wearing.
- They can run faster, jump better and wallclimb, so they should be a bit harder to reach
